Of course, that’s not to say that there are no obstacles as long as you keep your eyes on your goal, but perhaps it lets us see those obstacles in a different way. For one thing, I think it helps keep people motivated when you focus on what you can achieve rather than the problems impeding your progress towards that dream. And really, having challenges is what makes the road interesting, and makes it rewarding once you reach the end. Oftentimes, it’s these obstacles that give us the best stories to tell around the kitchen table later.
